Dr. Turnipseed is an acclaimed public historian, educator, and cultural preservationist whose work centers on identity, history, and the lived experiences of African-descended communities.
She holds advanced degrees in telecommunications, international business, and public history, and is among the few African American women to earn a doctorate in history from Middle Tennessee State University.
Her work has been nationally recognized, including receiving the Mississippi Diversity Educator of the Year Award and a U.S. Congressional Honor for her contributions to preserving the history and heritage of the Mississippi Delta.
As founder of Khafre, Inc., she is deeply committed to honoring legacy, amplifying cultural narratives, and engaging the next generation through education and storytelling.
