Dr. Cassie Sade Turnipseed

MS, MBA, PhD
Assistant Professor of History

Dr. Turnipseed is an acclaimed public historian, educator, and cultural preservationist whose work centers on identity, history, and the lived experiences of African-descended communities.

She holds advanced degrees in telecommunications, international business, and public history, and is among the few African American women to earn a doctorate in history from Middle Tennessee State University.

Her work has been nationally recognized, including receiving the Mississippi Diversity Educator of the Year Award and a U.S. Congressional Honor for her contributions to preserving the history and heritage of the Mississippi Delta.

As founder of Khafre, Inc., she is deeply committed to honoring legacy, amplifying cultural narratives, and engaging the next generation through education and storytelling.

Her expertise includes capital structuring, portfolio risk management, treasury governance, cross-border financial operations, and performance optimization across multinational portfolios.

She is the Founder and Managing Director of Kaizene International, a governance and strategy advisory firm supporting boards, financial institutions, executive committees, and growth-stage enterprises in strengthening oversight frameworks, performance systems, and long-term strategic positioning. Her work focuses on the intersection of capital allocation and governance discipline, ensuring that growth strategies are structurally sound and execution-ready.

She is also the Founder and General Commissioner of the Economy & Governance Forum, a high-level institutional platform convening policymakers, investors, and corporate leaders on governance reform, domestic resource mobilization, and ethical leadership across emerging markets. In addition, she founded Bold 4 Growth, an international leadership accelerator built around her proprietary 3M Model (Mindset, Method, Momentum), focused on measurable performance transformation among high-performing women leaders and entrepreneurs.
