Board of Directors
Board members provide governance, strategic direction, and accountability for LYSMAA. These are appointed two-year roles, renewable once. Board members attend quarterly meetings and any special meetings called throughout the year.
Oversees the financial health of LYSMAA. Manages accounts, prepares financial reports, processes dues and payments, and ensures compliance with our 501(c)(3) requirements. Coordinates the annual tax filing and maintains financial records for accountability and transparency.

Owns LYSMAA's full programming calendar from monthly virtual events to the annual retreat and regional meetups. Recruits speakers and facilitators, manages event logistics and registration, and ensures every event delivers real value to our members.

Committees & Volunteer Roles
These roles are not board positions but they are essential. They are how LYSMAA comes to life every day through content, community and connections. Volunteer roles are a natural first step into LYSMAA leadership.
Leads the Media Committee and oversees all content including the newsletter, podcast, and social media. Ensures our voice and brand are consistent and compelling across every channel.

Produces LYSMAA's monthly newsletter, our most consistent touchpoint with members. Collects content, writes, designs, and publishes each issue tied to our monthly programming themes.

Manages production of the LYSMAA podcast, our platform to share experiences, find resources, and inspire one another. Coordinates guests, recording sessions, and distribution across platforms.

Manages LYSMAA's presence on Facebook and LinkedIn. Creates and schedules content, engages the community, and helps grow our audience through consistent and meaningful posts.

Builds and manages LYSMAA's relationships with corporate partners and sponsors. Develops proposals, nurtures partnerships, and ensures all commitments are fulfilled with care and professionalism.

Secures philanthropic funding through grant applications and member giving campaigns.

Supports the annual scholarship review process and helps coordinate the award announcement at our retreat. Works closely with the Fundraising Chair to ensure a fair and meaningful selection process.

Ensures every member feels seen, welcomed, and connected. Keeps our community portal active, facilitates member introductions, coordinates volunteers and Circle Leaders, and celebrates member wins and milestones.

The face of LYSMAA in their region. Covers Northeast, South, Southwest, Midwest, and West. Organizes local gatherings, welcomes and identifies prospective members, and builds LYSMAA's presence locally.

Hosts and activates a LYSMAA topic-based community channel called a Circle. Open Circles include Health & Wellness, Legal & Immigration, Career, Marriage & Parenting, Financial Literacy, and Business.
